Sustainability-focused universities are on the rise, but NUOS needed to stand apart. They had a bold vision: to create an institution dedicated to shaping the future of sustainable leadership.

But before they could educate changemakers, they had to build trust.

They needed an identity that was as clean, impactful and future-forward as their mission. More than just a logo, they required a sustainable brand ecosystem—one that would resonate with investors, students and industry leaders before the first classroom was even built.

And, of course, every step of this branding process had to walk the talk—minimal waste, maximum impact.

The Challenge


NUOS needed a brand as intentional and impactful as their mission. My co-creator (designer) and I worked closely with their team to craft an identity that was simple, scalable and deeply rooted in nature.

  • Sustainable at its core: Every element, from the color palette to the messaging, reflected NUOS’ Nordic and eco-conscious philosophy.

  • Minimalist & impactful: We used clean design and conscious language—simple, sustainable and free of jargon.

  • Investor-ready: We shaped a brand that gave NUOS the credibility to secure funding and bring their vision to life.

To make NUOS immediately visible in a competitive market, we also created:

✅ A streamlined MVP website that introduced their mission and values
✅ A social media starter pack to help them engage their audience from day one
✅ A brand book to ensure long-term consistency in tone, visuals, and messaging


The Creative Strategy

Our process was hands-on and collaborative, ensuring every element reflected NUOS’ mission-driven philosophy.

The deliverables:

🌿 Brand Identity: A full visual and verbal identity, including logo, color system, typography and messaging—all rooted in Nordic minimalism and sustainability.
💡 Website Copy: A sharp yet inviting MVP website that spoke directly to investors, future students and key stakeholders.
📢 Social Media Pack: A set of ready-to-use assets that positioned NUOS as a thought leader in the sustainability space.

From in-depth strategy workshops to execution, we ensured every detail embodied their low-carbon, high-impact ethos.

🌱 Less is more. A clean, minimalist brand doesn’t just look good—it builds trust. NUOS’ simple, sustainability-driven identity helped them break through the noise in a competitive market. Sustainable storytelling matters. We didn’t just talk about sustainability—we embedded it into every piece of branding, from the color choices to the way we structured their messaging. Would I do anything differently? I’d push for even more immersive storytelling—perhaps an interactive brand experience that allows potential students to engage with NUOS’ vision firsthand.
