Books are everywhere. Stacked here. Fallen over their stacks there. Creating what once was a pretty organized pile, now an intellectual person’s mess.
For the most part, it seems every book has its own place here. But they’ve been placed there — wherever they are now long enough ago to not have been replaced with a title anew or misplaced with its old self.
It’s like each book knows where it belongs. Like it got a little too comfortable in its placement and decided to stay — for awhile, maybe forever. To fill itself with dust and readers with dusty ideas. -
Books have backbones. Some are thin, some thick as thieves — especially when it’s a story about stealing hearts. Which I feel like — in a way — most love stories are about, kind of. Not that it's ever intentional, unless of course it's a story about abuse of power, narcissism, which I’d rather not go into here now.

The view — of El Espejo del Alma — I have right now is too picturesque to go too dark. Let’s keep it light, Meg.

The sun’s already at its mid morning peak above the peaks of the mountains down the valley and it’s kissing — radiating with sweet, sunshine — the side of my right cheek bone. Mmmmm kisses. Who doesn’t like those? I’m a true fan. I love to kiss. Maybe that’s another reason why I love Spanish culture so much. Before you even really know anyone, you’re getting besos on both sides. It’s intimate in a not creepy neighborly way.

Commercial break: I keep having these song lyrics pop in my head, I can even hear it as the hustler himself sings it. “I’m a hustler baby, I just want you to know”

I really want to get organized with my shit. It’s good solid shit, I think, at least. My book quotes, song lyrics and musings — from my post-run poetry and morning pages that have morphed into “mepcerpts” for public consumption. I gotta get this all lined out digitally so I can create and share it with the world. It’s time to make this my focus (alongside learning German). To help people make their life, Art and calling their focus, too.

I think I have this thing with newness, different, novelty, trying new flavors, lips, hands, cheeks, bodies, minds.

We’re humans and have this basic need for touch, so why don’t we fill it with each other while we’re together? Why deprive ourselves when demand is obvious and supply is literally in plain view for taking and touching?
