practice

  • The author of How to Idle: an Idler’s Manifesto talks about how alarms are the absolute worst way one can begin their day — with a jolt. And when you hit snooze a few times, you've started your day with several jolts.

I feel jolted this morning. It's partially — well, mainly — my fault because I set the alarms.

  • I am feeling the days left here are going too fast. I do and don't want to go back to the city quite yet.

  • I will probably cut out some of the case studies text to make it all a bit more digestible. At the same time, case studies are at-length explanations of your thought process and the results. Proof of a creative mind and success.

  • An eggplant emoji over the grayed out pic with simple text warning me that this very likely might be explicit content I might not want to see. I think this head's up (pun intended) feature is cool.

  • I think they get off by showing it off.

  • I really need to get in some mileage this week. Remind my legs and lungs what it feels like to go longer, harder.

  • If I come back here in May/June, I'll have to really be diligent and practice every day. Like soccer players train for games or pianists for concerts. I know I've done both forms of training. I grew up diligent and determined.

  • This time around, I'm out of practice, but it just takes it to get back into it.
